NON-SKATING

NON-SKATING OFFICAL

Non-Skating Officials [NSO's] are vital to the sport of Roller Derby and we welcome anyone who may be interested. At any game, there needs to be at least 9 NSO's for the game to run properly. These positions include: Jam Timer, Scorekeepers, Score Board Operator, Penalty box timers/manager and Line-up/penalty Trackers.

Let us know if you are interested in joining the club as a Non-Skater. This is perfect if you want to be part of Roller Derby, without the contact or wheels!

(You are able to participate as an NSO while you are learning to skate)

PERFECT FOR

  • PEOPLE INTERESTED IN ROLLER DERBY BUT DON'T WANT TO BE ON EIGHT WHEELS!

  • PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BE A PART OF AN AMAZING COMMUNITY!

BECOMING AN OFFICAL DVRDC MEMBER

SKATERS

Once you have participated in a Skate Fit course, you are eligible to become a DVRDC member.

As a member you will be able to begin your Roller Derby or Refereeing Journey by progressing through the assessment levels. If Roller Derby isn't for you, as a member you are able to continue skating with DVRDC on a casual basis instead of re-enrolling in Skate Fit (this may better suit your budget or lifestyle)

(We are not able to offer casual or trial classes to anyone who has not completed a Skate Fit course as we previously have done due to changes with our insurance provider)

As a member you will be a part of an amazing and welcoming community where you will be involved with club events and games.

NON-SKATERS

Please let us know if you are interested in joining the club as a non-skater. This is perfect if you want to be part of Roller Derby, without the contact or wheels! We always need extra hands to help out with the club, be it NSO'ing, helping with club events/ games, fundraising or being an offical DVRDC photographer!

As a member you will be a part of an amazing and welcoming community!
